Natasha Reid

Dr Natasha Reid is a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Queensland, working across both the School of Public Health and the Centre for Health Services Research. As an emerging early career researcher in ageing and frailty, with a special interest in the role of sedentary behaviour, Natasha aims to impact the healthy ageing and aged care sectors in a positive manner based on high quality evidence-based research. Her career thus-far has yielded a range of publications in international journals focused on the association of sedentary behaviour with physical function in adults and older adults. She has also presented at international and national conferences, invited community seminars on healthy ageing and consultancy projects for the Department of Health and private companies. Natasha's experience ranges from project conception and write-up, project management, data-analysis and manuscript write-up. Having fostered professional relationships with a number of internationally recognised researchers in ageing, frailty and sarcopenia, and physical activity and sedentary time, Natasha is now focused on reablement initiatives in residential aged care with a specific focus on reducing and breaking up sitting time.
